Overview
What the Devices page shows and where to find it.
Some Caident apps, such as Caident Design, assign each seat to a specific device rather than just to a person. When you sign in to one of these apps on a computer, that device is automatically registered and uses one of your seats. There is nothing you need to do to register it yourself.
The Devices page shows which of your seats are currently tied to which devices, and lets you free one up when you need to.
Where to find it
In the sidebar, under Account, select Devices.
What you'll see
Each device-based app your organization has access to gets its own section, showing how many of its seats are currently in use. Below that, every device holding one of those seats is listed with:
- Device: the device's name, along with a partially hidden reference ID so the full hardware ID isn't displayed.
- Platform: the operating system it's running, such as Windows or macOS.
- Last active: the last time that device was used with the app.
Each device also has an Unregister button, which frees up the seat it's using. See Unregister a Device for details.
If you're an owner or admin, you'll also see a User column identifying who each device belongs to, since you're responsible for managing seats across the organization rather than just your own.
Who sees what
- As a member, you'll only see devices registered against seats assigned to you.
- As an owner or admin, you can see every device across the organization using one of your org's seats, for any person and any device-based app. This lets you free up a seat someone else is holding, for example if they've left the company or replaced a laptop, without needing them to do it themselves.
