How to arrange your selected files and build your submittal package.
Once you've added files to your package, the Selected Files panel on the Build a submittal package page is where you arrange them and build the final PDF.
Reorder files
If you have more than one file selected, drag a file by the handle on its left side to change its order in the package. Files merge into the final PDF in the order they're listed.
Choose which pages to include
Each selected file has a page selector with two options:
- All pages: includes the entire file. This is the default.
- Range: includes only the pages you specify. Enter a start and end page number.
If a range is invalid (for example, the end page is before the start page), an error message appears under that file and you'll need to fix it before you can build the package.
Remove a file
Select Remove next to a file to take it out of your package.
Build the package
- Once your files are arranged the way you want, select Build Package. This opens a window where you can add and customize a coversheet before generating the package. See Coversheet.
- Select Build Package again to confirm. Caident merges your coversheet (if included), selected files, and page ranges into a single PDF and opens it in a new browser tab.
If your browser blocks the new tab, allow pop-ups for Caident and try again.
